In October the Metro Justice Housing Committee called for the Housing Is a Human Right March as a culmination of the demand for a moratorium on bank foreclosure related evictions! Together with Take Back the Land Rochester, and a slew of supporting organizations, we gathered together, rallied, marched, and spoke to council about what it means to really elevate housing to a human right in this city! This was crucial for the Red & Black housing campaign as it brings together our two branches, Take Back the Land and the Metro Justice Housing Committee, into the type of working relationship that can bring this housing movement into the future.
