The Central Illinois local is comprised of members who are heavily invested in a variety of radical projects. In a broad sense, we are workers, students, parents, and community members. We are long standing and temporary residents of Central Illinois and/or the United States. Whether we have identified with anarchism for years or months we all share a desire for an organized approach to our work. We value the balance of theory and action; and believe in evolving and creative approaches to anti-authoritarian, anti-capitalist work.
Our members are involved with numerous projects such as labor & working-class organizing, immigration justice, mobilizing against jail expansion, solidarity with local Black liberation organizing, anti-fascist work, solidarity with anti-colonial resistance, birth justice, LGBTQ solidarity, and radical education, among other projects.
